Colossus is a handmade, 15' long, accordion folded and linen bound artist book fabricated and drawn by Nekisha Durrett. Colossus was exhibited within a full scale installation inspired by a poem of the same name by historian and poet David C. Ward. The poem, the book and the installation visualize a land deforested by Colossus, a metaphoric representation of industry and civilization.
