Not so long ago in a tiny, dusty clapboard house in the middle of Nowhere, little Nina Durtlowe lives a confined life of isolation and boredom. She spends her fleeting moments away from her watchful parents sifting under floorboards and crawlspaces, scrounging through drawers and closets and thumbing through dusty photo albums and boxes of keepsakes in search of something. But what? One day, Nina finds a note and a mysterious object. She holds them tight, tucks them under her pillow and lay in bed awake while a nagging suspicion brews that there is something beyond Nowhere to be found — somewhere O'er Yonder.
